Recently, Riot Games has announced that they have retained Nestlé brand KitKat as their core partner. KitKat will now sponsor their upcoming famous League series-League of Legends European Championship (LEC).
Under the Partnership Agreement
KitKat, a thriving chocolate brand will also continue to present breaks and pauses, as it did through the 2020 Spring Split. Also, it will get featuring in the league’s new in-game Summoner’s Rift banners.
Also, KitKat will yield all the promotional benefits in the Summoner’s Rift alongside MasterCard and Alienware.
The initial agreement between the Kitkat and LEC featured only Spring Split and nothing else.
This was not the first major tie-ups for the the chocolate snack brand. Last year they inveigled the esports through a Mega-deal with Overwatch League franchise Los Angeles Valiant.
After joining forces with LEC, this was just the beginning for KitKat as it recently became a sponsor of AGO Rogue. AGO Rogue is the League of Legends academy side of North American organisation Rogue.
Besides, in the begining of the month KitKat sponsored BLAST Bounty Hunt, the first Dota 2 event from Danish tournament organiser BLAST.
On Tuesday it was announced that Secretlab would become the primary sponsor of the league along with the other partners.
