A widely popular and preferable social game of Facebook, FarmVille, will soon shut down and would not be available for playing from 31st December 2020.


Facebook supports several games for competing modes with social media linking, like FarmVille, and most of the users of the platform stay engaged with them. FarmVille is a popular game and has been running for around 11 years, acquiring a global fan base. Moreover, FarmVille was one of the most initial games for FaceBook, launched in 2009, just after it made its debut. With games like FarmVille and CityVille, unique gaming experiences with enhanced excitement are going to make its appearance for the users because of their social media links.

FarmVille was always an addictive game, but not of the kind that requires higher time spending on that due to the time-taking tasks featured in that. With more friends to the gameplay, the chances to level up in the game for the user also rise, thus being the best blend of gaming with a social media platform.

The heart-crushing news of the game’s shutdown came with Adobe’s announcement to stop the Flash player’s distribution and updates, currently supportable in all the web browsers. Because of FarmVille’s dependency on the Flash player plugin, the game will also not be available after 31st December, as soon as the Adobe’s support for Flash Player goes away.

Zynga disclosed that the in-app purchases for FarmVille would only be available till 17th November 2020, and the payment system for the game will then not be available after that. Additionally, to ensure the highest fascination and entertainment for the game users, Zynga plans to come up with exciting activities in the game in the remaining days.

After FarmVille’s shutdown, the users who want to continue playing that might go for FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape, a game available exclusively for iOS and Android. Moreover, Zynga might also launch another edition, FarmVille 3, for its global users.
