PokerStars India announced an online seven-day long charity poker series, named ‘Play for a cause’. The series will continue from 2nd October 2020 to 8th October 2020 for celebrating a Daan Utsav Festival annually.

Moreover, the Chennai’s United Way will host the upcoming tournament series, supporting around seven organizations that are the non-profitable ones. In addition. the intention is to increase the encouragement for the players to enjoy a good gaming event along with a better experience and joy of giving.

For each day, there will be different charity events, and with each day of the series, funds will raise with each of the 500 INR events. Finally, all of the sum of the raised funds through the charity events will go to the donations for the unemployed people’s vocational training, a facility of meals for hospitalized patients and their relatives, availability of sanitary pads for all the unprivileged women, and also the community’s athletics programs.

The organizations selected for the charity events are United Way of Chennai, Involve Education, Pad Squad, Manjhi Development Foundation, Bridge of Sports, Seva Kitchen, and Goonj.

In a press release, Sachiko Gaming’s CEO, Ankur Dewani, commented on the events’ announcement,

Also, PokerStars India’s Ambassador of Gaming, Muska Sethi, further added,
