Jio, a leading telecom service provider of India, signs an exclusive partnership deal with MediaTek, the famous semiconductor manufacturer. The deal was signed for launching a 70-days long esports tournament, Gaming Masters, for the nationwide gamers. All the players across the nation can access the tournament and play the events of the popular mobile-based battle royale title, Free Fire. The tournament will have a huge prize pool worth 12.5 lakh INR for the winners.
Garena developed the popular title, Free Fire, which is a battle royale game. The game is available globally for both solo and duo modes. Also, both Jio and non-Jio users can access and play the game using the Jio Games platform. The tournament will also be broadcasted live on YouTube and JioTV HD Esports Channel. Furthermore, gamers will compete based on skills, teamwork, and endurance.
The total prize pool for the event is 12.5 lakh INR, out of which the winners of the Grand Final will receive 3 lakhs INR, second place securers will get 1 lakh INR, third place securers will receive 60,000 INR, and the person securing 4th place will get 40,000 INR. Registrations had already begun for the tournament and will continue till 9th January 2021. Further, the tournament will be conducted between 13th January.
