Dangal Games, an online gaming company, is expanding into fantasy gaming with the introduction of the FantasyDangal website ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Xeta Networks Pvt. Ltd, the parent company of Dangal Games, was founded in 2017 by Varun Mahna, Varun Puri, Shashwat Jain, Karan Gandhi, and Manan Sobti and runs rummy and poker sites – RummyDangal and PokerDangal.

The FantasyDangal framework will go live on April 9th, in time for the 14th edition of the IPL. However, it is being introduced with Indian and international cricket tournaments for both men and women. The application also contains numerous sporting genres such as football, kabaddi, and hockey, among others.

Dangal Games’ founder and CEO, Varun Mahna, said that FantasyDangal is their first product outside of the card game room, and they are excited to see how it performs. They will begin with cricket and then add the rest of the games in the following quarter. Users will be able to turn their FantasyDangal points into real money and participate in any cash competitions for a specific match.

Dangal Games will soon launch a digital media strategy to gain users for FantasyDangal. It proposes to use IPL ads on television and Disney + Hotstar in the second half of the T20 tournament, based on user response.
